Singer Discusses ''No Such Thing As White Jesus'' 4:30PM ET July 5th, 2012 Contributor : Stephen Willis A Rocky Williform Company Frank Ocean revealed during an interview with the New York Times that the collaboration between he and Nas may never see the light of day. He did state the song, called “No Such Thing As White Jesus,” was completed but lost due to a technical mishap. He recited a few of the lost track's lyrics.
“Whatever you do, young king, don’t wind up dead. Young queen, cross your legs. Put a crown on your head and remove the chains. Cause even diamond chains are for slaves. Don’t set foot in no penitentiary. And don’t taste the poison. Don’t you bail on your families,” Ocean recited.
He also discussed his upcoming official studio debut, Channel Orange, which drops on July 17th.
“I’ve written some great things,” Ocean explained. “That’s a gift, but there’s consequences. Yeah, you get this great work, but you suffer. You really, really suffer.”
