One of the suspects in the crime is reportedly a background dancer for Minaj's tour; but Minaj herself denies that the man has any affiliation with her or her entourage. "Saddened to learn one of my precious fans; found tragically murdered in Japan. My love & prayers are with the family of Nicola Furlong," Minaj tweeted. She then addressed blogger Perez Hilton directly. "@PerezHilton my dancers had nothing to do w/this tragedy. No one in my entourage was questioned or arrested. They all flew home from Japan" she posted. "@PerezHilton that person on your sight is NOT my dancer. We do NOT know the men in custody. Too much misleading information." The fan, 21-year old Irish exchange student Nikola Furlong and her friend were approached by the two men after the concert and were pushed into a taxi, according to witnesses. The suspects are Americans James Blackston and an unnamed 19-year-old backing musician. Indications are that Furlong was strangled.

UCLA student Neshemah Keetin told CBS News that the scholarship would be better served for someone less fortunate than Combs. The two parties inked a deal back in 2005 and Mobb Deep released one album (Blood Money)while on the label, but according to Prodigy, they have since gotten out of the deal. “50, that’s my boy right there. He can’t do no wrong in my eyes. Yeah, the G-Unit deal, when I got locked up, we had an option to do another album with G-Unit. Actually, they had another option to do an album with us. So when I got locked up, 50 had changed distributors for G-Unit, his label, and he was looking for a new distribution deal,” Prodigy told DJ Vlad. “So during that time, he was making those distribution changes, there was a clause in our contract that says if a certain amount of time, the label doesn’t have distribution, the contract is dead.” “That’s what actually took place, but 50 came to see me when I was locked up, and he expressed to me that he wanted to do another deal," he continued. "He was interested in doing another Mobb Deep album, so when I got home, we sat down and had that conversation with him. We decided to just try to get this distribution deal set, because at the time in the game right now, it just felt like that’s what we needed to do, if we wanted to have the respect of our peers and the respect of the fans. If we wanted certain things to go a certain way, we just needed to have our own company and run our own company. So we decided to take advantage of that clause in the contract and just go our separate ways. But we still cool with G-Unit.”

A&A Diamonds filed the suit against Gucci in Henry County, Georgia in early 2012. According to TMZ, Gucci borrowed a $130,000 diamond pinky ring and a bracelet and necklace valued at $110,000. He had fifteen days to pay for the items and put down $40,000. He hasn't paid any more of the balance. Gucci Mane failed to appear in court, so A&A won a default judgment of $274,523. According to reports, a lien has been placed on his property.
