Kelly will be releasing a tell-all autobiography with David Ritz called Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me. The project will chronicle R. Kelly's career and according to press releases will detail the “conflicting realities of ‘Bump and Grind’ sexuality” and his “soul stirring ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ spirit.” “In the tradition of legendary soul singer/songwriters, R. Kelly has defined his own unique style of genius while influencing an entire generation of singers,” said chairman/CEO of Epic Records, Antonio “L.A.” Reid. “He is the pure essence of soul, and in ‘Soulacoaster’ you’ll discover the untold story behind every song.” The book will also reportedly address the child pornography and statutory rape case controversy that almost derailed Kelly's career in the early 2000s. Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me is due in stores June 28th.
