Rosemond Trial Reveals Business TiesFormer Czar Entertainment employee Tony Martin testified in the ongoing drug distribution trial of former music manager James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond. On yesterday (May 29th), Martin revealed Rosemond's business associations with notables such as Rev. Al Sharpton and Queen Latifah. According to Martin, Rosemond began an association with Rev. Sharpton after a 2007 altercation between Rosemond's son and an associate of rappers 50 Cent and Tony Yayo.
“His son was harmed, so Jimmy was a space in his life where he didn’t want to get in trouble. So he took the political route to protect his son,” Tony Martin said.
Rosemond served as an executive producer for an unreleased Sharpton show and paid for much of the activist's travel expenses involved with producing the show. Rosemond also invested in Fatburgers with Latifah, as well as the film The Cookout.
According to AllHipHop, Martin has signed a cooperation agreement with prosecutors. He formerly managed Game, Trillville, and Mario Winans for Czar Entertainment.
