''We Have Decided Not To Go Ahead With the Event'' 1:30PM ET July 10th, 2012 Contributor : Martin James A Rocky Williform Company Rapper 50 Cent was expected to appear in Ireland at Carphone Warehouse in Dundrum Town Centre to promote his new headphone line and meet some of his fans, but the event has been cancelled in the wake of the hip hop star's offensive autism tweet. 50 apologized for telling a fan that he looked like he had the condition, but Carphone Warehouse says they've decided to not go forward with the meet-and-greet.
"To all our fans and customers, We wish to assure you all that we entirely appreciate all of your responses in regards to the visit of 50 Cent and would like to take this opportunity to reinforce that we as a company value each and every one of our customers," the statement reads. "We appreciate that 50 Cent has issued an apology in relation to his recent comments however we have decided not to go ahead with the event on Wednesday."
