Leaders of the New School Reunite Onstage

Busta Rhymes Performs With Old Bandmates 6:00AM ET July 16th, 2012 Contributor : Chris G. A Rocky Williform Company Busta Rhymes reunited onstage with his former Leaders of the New School bandmates for the first time since the mid-1990s. Rhymes, Dinco D. and Charlie Brown took the stage at the 2012 Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival, with the performance culminating with surprise guests A Tribe Called Quest joining them onstage for a performance of their classic collaboration "Scenario." Busta, Brown and Dinco D. also performed the L.O.N.S. favorite “Case of the P.T.A.” The Leaders split in 1994 on ill terms and Busta Rhymes went on to become a solo superstar. The group was, alongside acts like the Jungle Brothers, A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul, a part of the Native Tongues collective.
