A Rocky Williform Company After four days, the prosecution and defense in the Torrence "Lil Boosie" Hatch murder trial have both rested their cases. The rapper faces life in prison for allegedly orchestrating the murder of Terry Boyd in 2009.
The prosecution rested its case after calling 27 witnesses to the stand; followed quickly by the rapper's defense team likewise resting their case. The defense didn't call a single witness.
“Based upon the burden of proof lying with the state, the defense rests with the witnesses the state has put on,” said Jason Williams, one of Hatch's defense attorneys.
Closing arguments will take place today (May 11th.)
