Promoter Planning To Sue Rap Star 1:30PM ET May 23rd, 2012 Contributor : Martin James A Rocky Williform Company Rapper Trina is in the middle of a controversy involving a promoter. The Miami-based star allegedly cost a concert promoter thousands of dollars after she failed to appear at a performance in St. Louis. Trina's booking agent received several letters from the promoter's lawyers and she was reportedly paid $7,000 to perform at the Imperial Palace in St. Louis on May 19th. According to TMZ, Trina never canceled in writing, so the promoter thought the booking was still set. Trina never showed up for the show. The promoter is planning to sue Trina for at least $16,000 -- which includes the $7,000 fee, promotional costs, and other damages. Trina's rep claims she tried to return her $7,000 advance, but the promoter refused to accept it.
