''His Obligations Will Be Satisfied''

 Singer/songwriter R. Kelly reportedly owes $4.8 million in back taxes. TMZ reports that the IRS filed documents revealing what Kelly owes to the federal government. The unpaid taxes date back to 2005: $1,472,366.77 ('05), $710,520.51 ('06), $376,180.11 ('07), $1,122,694.90 ('08), $173,815.18 ('09) and $992,495.24 ('10). The total amount due is $4,848,072.71.
"R. Kelly is in the process of working everything out with the government and is confident that all his obligations will be satisfied," said a representative for the singer.
Kelly faced a $2.9 million foreclosure lawsuit on his Chicago, Illinois home in 2011 for failing to make payments. |
